We had an absolutely marvellous long-weekend with our children and another family. The setting is idyllic, the building is well kept, well furnished and comfortable, and the whirlpool is heavenly. We hiked, we played, we laughed. It was our best holiday in years. Just perfect for one family or two. Thank you. We will be back.

Our first stay at this beautiful chalet. Had a nice dinner and an evening soak in the hot tub. Gorgeous night. Clear sky bright moon and more stars than I have seen in ages! Completely relaxed and fully decompressed, we snooze on the couch for a couple of hours. Off to bed- the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in away from home. The best sleep I have had in months. Out of bed by 9:00 to watch the sun rise over the mountain to the east- for a short time anyway. Another beautiful clear day- such a peaceful relaxing environment- it will be hard to leave. Can’t wait to return to this little piece of heaven- hopefully for longer next time.

The Selman family is sad to be leaving such an amazing place. We have been here for three days now snowmachining and spending quality time with the whole family. The hot tub was wonderful, we couldn’t keep the kids out of it! Just days filled with reading, eating, movie watching, and napping. I think most of all we are all going to miss waking up every morning to such a breathtaking view. It’s just another reason to hurry us all back here!

Today is my last day at this chalet. I’m going to miss it hear. Ohhh by the way… This is the best place I’v ever been too! Love m.s.B

Meet the New Owners

We’re the Steeles – Gary, Treva, Jordyn and Justin. Long-time enjoyers of the Spruce Moose Chalets ourselves, we wanted to make sure they stayed as a vacation get-away for ourselves, new visitors to Alaska, and those of you who have grown fond of them over the years like we have.

We are long-time operators of a B&B in Anchorage, and look forward to continuing the fine operation Rose and Jeff have provided visitors over the years.

After 15 years, the builders and hosts of the Spruce Moose chalets Rose and Jeff Hetrick, decided to down-size their operations in Moose Pass by selling the chalets.

They still own and operate The Inn at Tern Lake.
