Reservations
A deposit of 50% is required to confirm your reservation with the balance due upon arrival. Cancellations are accepted up to 14 days prior to arrival date. Your deposit will be refunded less a 10% cancellation fee. After 14 days, we will refund anything we can re-book – minus the cancellation fee.
We can help you arrange flight-seeing trips, rafting adventures, fishing charters, and marine tours into the Kenai Fjords National Park. We work with experienced and respected operators to ensure that your vacation in Alaska is memorable.

A WORD TO RETURNING CUSTOMERS
-Necessary Price Increases-
Greetings Fellow Alaskans,
We think the Spruce Moose Chalets are a very special place. They’ve been our family’s favorite winter get-away for over a decade. Our hope is to continue to be able share these with folks as year-round rentals. This winter we are evaluating the viability of keeping them open in the winter. Many places – like the Princess Lodge in Cooper Landing, Summit Lake Lodge, and B&B’s and cabins in Cooper Landing and Moose Pass, close in the winter because with increased operational costs, and fewer rental days, you at best break even – or even loose money.
We have found it necessary to raise the rates. Last winter’s rates simply will not cover current operation costs - where plowing and sanding the driveway, alone, can cost more than a night’s rental.
We also are charging for all occupants but infants. We have found over 10 years` in the B&B business that children are the most expensive customers. They require the same facilities, use the same amenities and actually produce more wear and tear and higher clean-up costs than adults.
Having kids ourselves, we want to be able to both maintain the beautiful decors and furnishings of the chalets, and keep them available to families.
Having previously used the chalets ourselves we appreciate their uniqueness, beauty and unparalleled setting. We have made significant improvements to both chalets to improve their usefulness, comfort and functional ness.
We are offering lower mid-week rates, and a three night weekend rate to encourage more use during off-peak times. We encourage folks to consider these as they will help us increase the number of rental nights, and they are typically more available – even at the last minute.
We hope to be able to continue year-round rentals. Your understanding and continued patronage will help us continue to do so.
